Archer Boyette is a filmmaker and installation artist from Asheville, North Carolina. Her handmade, 16mm films playfully engage with the materiality of celluloid to examine the intersections of art, science, and spirituality. Most recently, Archer has been working with botanicals from the Blue Ridge Mountains to create cameraless animations and phytograms. Archer currently lives in Durham, North Carolina as a recent graduate of the MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts program at Duke University.
